## Software Engineer Intern (Winter 2027) ### About Notion Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. We’re building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side—so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. This internship runs **January 25 – April 16** and you must be able to work from our **NY or SF office** during this time. ### What you’ll achieve - Write **clean, secure, tested, and documented** code - Design and enhance the Notion product with an **AI-first mindset** - Develop, fix, and debug software across the **full stack** (web services, databases, applications, and tools) using modern frameworks and tooling ### Qualifications - Pursuing a **bachelor’s or master’s** degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field - **Must graduate before December 2027** - Ability to work **January 25 – April 16** from the **NY or SF office** - Previous internship experience - Working toward proficiency in one or more languages such as **TypeScript, Node.js, or Python** - Enjoys large challenges and discovering problems as much as solving them - Able to problem-solve and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment ### Skills you’ll need to bring - **Thoughtful problem-solving:** Understand context, decompose tricky problems, and work toward clean solutions (with teammates when needed) - **Put users first:** Consider implications and real-world impact - **Not ideological about technology:** Focus on tradeoffs; learn new technologies as needed - **Empathetic communication:** Clearly explain technical decisions and collaborate thoughtfully - **Team player:** Enjoy cross-functional collaboration and helping others grow - **AI enthusiast:** Built or prototyped with AI technologies (LLMs, embeddings, ML) and eager to learn more ### Nice to have - Experience with stack technologies such as **TypeScript, React, Python** - Interest in computing pioneers (e.g., Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay) - Interests outside of technology (e.g., art, history, social sciences) ### Compensation Notion offers competitive **cash compensation, equity, and benefits**.
