**Tech Lead Manager, Education** **About the Team** OpenAI's Education team builds products advancing how people learn with AI, working across higher education, K-12 districts, and country partnerships. The team owns ChatGPT Edu, ChatGPT for Teachers, and related product/research initiatives. **About the Role** We're seeking a hands-on Tech Lead Manager to lead a team of senior full-stack engineers building AI-native learning experiences in ChatGPT. You'll combine technical execution, product judgment, and people leadership. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead and manage a team of three senior full-stack engineers • Build product experiences for ChatGPT Education and AI-native learning workflows • Partner with research teams on field studies, RCTs, and learning outcome measurement • Collaborate across Consumer Learning and model teams • Drive execution and help define product strategy for a new product pod **Ideal Candidate** • Several years of direct people-management experience with engineers • Highly technical and comfortable with IC engineering work • Strong product sense and GM-like thinking for focused product areas • Effective at cross-functional influence and communication • Genuinely interested in education, learning science, and AI's impact on learning outcomes • Experience in large, complex technology organizations **Nice to Have** • Background in education, edtech, or learning science • Experience across both large tech companies and startup environments • Experience connecting research, data pipelines, and user-facing products
