**Technical Program Manager, Model Deployment & Capacity** **About the Team** The ChatGPT infrastructure team ensures products serve rapidly growing demand with exceptional performance, reliability, and quality. This role sits at the intersection of product demand, model deployment, inference, research, fleet, and capacity planning. **About the Role** Lead the operating system for Chat capacity and model deployment. Connect demand forecasting and capacity allocation with model readiness, rollout planning, launch coordination, and post-deployment learning. Own mainline model deployment across research, post-training, inference, and product teams. **Key Responsibilities** • Own cross-functional programs for Chat capacity forecasting, allocation, and constrained-capacity operations • Build intake, prioritization, and decision mechanisms connecting product demand to serving capacity • Lead model deployment readiness, rollout planning, and launch sequencing • Establish readiness gates, risk reviews, and rollback criteria • Drive launch coordination and turn manual work into scalable tooling • Define metrics for forecast accuracy, utilization, deployment velocity, and reliability • Create decision-ready communications for technical and product leaders **Ideal Candidate** • Led complex technical programs in infrastructure, distributed systems, or large-scale deployment • Reason about demand, supply, reliability, and latency tradeoffs • Built operating mechanisms replacing manual workflows with scalable systems • Effective in high-ambiguity, constrained environments • Build alignment across research, engineering, product, and operations • Use metrics to guide decisions and demonstrate measurable improvements • Communicate with precision across technical and executive levels **Location** San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)
