**Senior / Software Engineer - Cortex Code Agentic System** **About the Role** Snowflake's Cortex Code team is building the future of coding agents for working with data. You'll own the full AI engineering lifecycle: design, prompt/tool engineering, evals, deployment, measurement, and optimization. **What You'll Do** • Own features end-to-end for Snowflake Cortex Code products • Build agentic workflows, coding harnesses, and evaluation pipelines • Build enterprise-grade context engineering: function calling, tool schemas, guardrails, and agent teams • Partner with product and infrastructure teams to translate customer problems into products • Work with an elite team of engineers building great products **Requirements** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field (Master's+ preferred) • 5+ years shipping AI/ML-backed software in production • Strong track record building eval harnesses, measurement, and experimentation loops for LLM/agent systems • Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go (strong in at least two) • Exceptional communication skills and cross-team collaboration ability **Nice to Have** • Deep experience with agentic coding tools (IDE agents, CLI agents) • Background in data engineering (dbt, Airflow), analytics, RAG, or semantic layers • Prior work on LLM observability, safety/guardrails, or quality systems in production • Experience with complex quality and data pipelines **You May Be a Great Fit If You** • Have built and owned complex systems with substantial state and operational requirements • Thrive in high-intensity environments with short feedback loops • Take problems to completion independently with focus on production reliability • Are a power user of modern coding agents **About Snowflake** Snowflake is the AI Data Cloud trusted by the world's most innovative companies.
