**Staff Software Engineer, Product Security** **About the Role:** Join Snowflake's Security Foundations team to drive product security architecture and secure-by-design practices across engineering teams. This role owns technical security problems that maintain customer trust in the Snowflake platform. **Key Responsibilities:** • Set technical direction for product security across multiple engineering teams • Design and build security-critical services, frameworks, and controls • Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for complex, high-risk systems • Embed secure-by-design principles into the development lifecycle • Investigate and resolve high-severity security issues at scale • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers • Evaluate and integrate emerging security tooling and AI-assisted analysis **Required Qualifications:** • 10+ years of software engineering experience with significant product/application security focus • Deep expertise designing secure, large-scale distributed systems • Strong track record driving cross-team technical decisions • Hands-on threat modeling and vulnerability remediation experience • Proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, Go, Rust, C++, Python) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience **Bonus Skills:** • Cloud-native or multi-tenant SaaS platform security experience • Cryptography, IAM, or data security at scale expertise • AI/GenAI workflows applied to security analysis • Open-source security contributions or published research • Experience with detection, incident response, or offensive security teams **Why Join:** Shape foundational security systems used across Snowflake and strengthen customer trust in the platform.
