**Strategist, Agent Development - Public Sector** **ABOUT SIERRA** Sierra is building a platform enabling companies to create better, more human customer experiences with AI. Founded by Bret Taylor (former Salesforce co-CEO, Facebook CTO, Google Maps co-creator) and Clay Bavor (18 years at Google, led Google Labs). **ABOUT THE PUBLIC SECTOR TEAM** Sierra recently achieved FedRAMP High certification. The team is redefining government-citizen relationships through AI agents that help citizens access services, report fraud, and understand complex systems—while empowering officials to better serve their communities. Explicitly nonpartisan and mission-focused. **WHAT YOU'LL DO** • Own the Agent Development Life Cycle—from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and production iteration • Be a trusted strategic advisor to public sector leaders on AI strategy and mission impact • Partner with cross-functional teams (program, operations, tech, security, legal, procurement) • Identify new ways to expand impact and develop roadmaps for new use cases • Shape product and public sector strategy by surfacing unmet needs and influencing Sierra's roadmap **EXAMPLE PROJECTS** • Improve access to benefits and services through eligibility and application agents • Modernize constituent support with policy and status inquiry agents • Enable secure fraud and safety reporting experiences • Create proactive government service agents • Build repeatable public sector capabilities **WHAT YOU'LL BRING** • Track record of leading complex, high-visibility initiatives with measurable outcomes • Technical aptitude (API documentation, data models, system architecture) • Passion for public service and institutional impact • Clear communication across executive, operational, policy, and technical audiences • Strategic problem-solving in ambiguity **NICE TO HAVE** • Production AI/LLM agent experience (eval frameworks, RAG, prompt engineering) • Government experience (procurement, security, compliance, policy) • Founder or founding team background • Technical degree or MBA **BENEFITS** Unlimited PTO • Medical/dental/vision • Life/disability insurance • Retirement plan • Parental leave • Fertility benefits • Equity participation • Discretionary stipend
