**Senior Software Engineer, Product Platform** **About the Role** Join Vanta's Product Platform org, the group powering product development by building shared foundations for all engineering teams. You'll work on one of two closely-aligned teams: • **Application Primitives** - Build customer-facing platform components (comments, notifications, event logs, audit trails) that product teams implement across Vanta • **Libraries & Foundations** - Own internal engineering libraries and golden-path patterns, building TypeScript-first abstractions and shared foundations **What You'll Do** • Design and build scalable systems and shared libraries that multiple engineering teams depend on • Partner with product engineering teams to understand needs and translate them into clean APIs and services • Drive technical decisions and influence architecture across team boundaries • Define engineering standards for shared components, ensuring consistency, performance, and security • Participate in code review, design discussions, and technical planning • Write thorough documentation enabling org-wide adoption and contribution • Contribute to building Vanta's engineering culture **What We're Looking For** • Backend or fullstack software engineering experience, with focus on platform/infrastructure/developer-facing systems • Experience building shared APIs, services, or platform components used by multiple teams • Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, or message queues (Kafka, SQS, pub/sub) • Excellent cross-functional communication skills • Track record of shipping high-quality, maintainable code • Openness to using AI responsibly to amplify skills and impact **What We Offer** Competitive salary & equity • Comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage • 16 weeks paid parental leave • Health & wellness stipend • Remote workspace stipend • 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO + 80 hours sick time • 11 company holidays • Offices in SF, NYC, London, Dublin, Tel Aviv, Sydney **About Vanta** Since 2018, Vanta has been helping businesses earn and prove trust through continuous security monitoring and verification.
