**Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Authoring Experience** **About the Role** Lead and mentor engineers while delivering high-value products at Vanta. Own the architecture of critical platform services, set technical standards for customer-facing APIs, and stitch together systems across the platform to serve customer needs. **Key Responsibilities** • Own architecture and rollout strategy for critical platform services • Set technical bar for API design, security, reliability, and developer experience • Design service boundaries and partner with data-platform teams • Drive RFCs and architectural decision records • Mentor engineers and expand team review capacity • Build with TypeScript/Node.js backend and React frontend **Requirements** • 8+ years backend development (reliable, scalable, fault-tolerant systems) • Designed and shipped external/public product APIs • Service boundaries and system design thinking • Comfortable in modern frontend codebases (React) • Track record driving complex, multi-quarter initiatives • Experience rolling out/deprecating major systems at scale • Strong written design communication and mentorship skills • Must be authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship) • Must reside and work exclusively within the United States **Bonus Skills** Startup experience, MongoDB at scale, security/compliance product background **What We Offer** Competitive salary & equity • Comprehensive medical/dental/vision • 16 weeks paid parental leave • Health & wellness stipend • Remote workspace stipend • 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO + 80 hours sick time • 11 company holidays • Offices in SF, NYC, London, Dublin, Tel Aviv, Sydney **About Vanta** We help businesses earn and prove trust through continuous security monitoring and verification.
