**Security Engineer, Application Security** **About the Role** Saronic Technologies is seeking a Security Engineer for Application Security to empower rapid, safe software development. You'll build application-security functions, secure the SDLC and supply chain, and create guardrails that make security the default across product, cloud, and enterprise systems. **Key Responsibilities** • **Secure SDLC & DevSecOps** – Threat modeling, secure design/code reviews, SAST/DAST/SCA integration in CI/CD • **Software Supply Chain** – Dependency security, SBOMs, artifact signing, provenance, and secrets exposure reduction • **Secrets & Application Controls** – Secrets management, allowlisting/blocklisting, data-loss prevention • **Secure Self-Hosting Infrastructure** – Harden infrastructure for self-hosted applications across AWS, Azure, and on-prem • **Partnership** – Embed with engineering teams and scale security tooling across the organization **Required Qualifications** • 5+ years in application security, DevSecOps, or product security • Hands-on secure SDLC experience (threat modeling, code review, SAST/DAST/SCA) • Software supply-chain security knowledge (SCA, SBOM, signing) • Experience securing application deployment and self-hosting • Scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance **Preferred Qualifications** • Container and cloud security expertise • Experience with AWS, Azure, and on-prem deployments • Bug-bounty triage or attacker's mindset • Background in defense, aerospace, or high-assurance environments **Note:** U.S. Person status required for access to export-controlled information.
