We're a profitable Series C company valued at $10B. **The Role** Own core marketplace systems that connect human intelligence to AI opportunities. You'll build backend services for candidate-job matching, routing, allocation, and workflow infrastructure—systems where latency, reliability, and quality directly impact business outcomes. **What You'll Build** • Backend services for candidate-job matching, routing, and marketplace workflows • APIs and internal systems for search, eligibility, scoring, allocation, and fulfillment • Data models and abstractions for a rapidly evolving labor marketplace • Infrastructure for real-time and asynchronous decisioning at high volume • Operational systems keeping product-critical workflows reliable and observable **What We're Looking For** • Track record building and operating reliable backend systems in production • Strong judgment in system design, performance, reliability, and data modeling • Comfort with high-throughput APIs, distributed systems, and asynchronous workflows • Ability to translate product requirements into clean technical systems • High engineering standards and bias toward simple, durable abstractions **Nice to Have** Experience with search, recommendation, matching, scheduling, or marketplace systems; ML-powered products; event-driven architecture, queues, caching, and observability tooling **Tech Stack** Python, Go, Kafka, Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Terraform **Benefits** Bi-annual performance bonus • Generous 4-year equity • Up to $15K relocation • $10K housing bonus • $1.5K monthly meals stipend • Free Equinox • $200/mo laundry reimbursement • $200/mo wellness reimbursement • Health, Dental, Vision insurance **Location** In-person 5 days/week: San Francisco, NYC, or London
