**Senior Professional Services Engineer - East** **ROLE SUMMARY** Help Temporal customers move from design to production-ready execution quickly and safely. Establish delivery patterns, operational standards, and enablement across teams and environments (cloud and self-hosted). **WHAT YOU'LL DO** • Deliver production-ready Temporal implementations by co-building workflows with customer and partner teams • Implement and teach production-safe workflow patterns (retries, timeouts, heartbeats, determinism, versioning) • Identify and remove early activation blockers before escalation • Help customers deploy and operate Temporal Server in production, including self-hosted environments • Define worker deployment, scaling, and operational guardrails • Establish observability and reliability standards with metrics, alerts, and dashboards • Create repeatable runbooks, templates, examples, and documentation • Lead hands-on workshops and training for customer and partner engineers • Own complex technical delivery issues end-to-end • Provide actionable product and engineering feedback from real-world patterns **WHAT YOU'LL BRING** • Experience delivering and operating production systems where reliability matters • Strong understanding of distributed systems, failure modes, and operational safety • Hands-on coding in Go, Java, Python, or TypeScript • Experience deploying production services in cloud and/or self-hosted environments • Ability to design operational standards and capacity planning • Comfort working directly with customers in high-stakes moments • Strong debugging skills and ability to navigate ambiguity • Ability to teach and enable other engineers **NICE TO HAVE** • Experience with workflow orchestration or durable execution systems • Track record building observability programs • Proven ability to create reference architectures and enablement programs • Strong partnership skills with product and engineering teams • Background in services delivery models at scale *Temporal Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.*
