**Solutions Engineer (Chicago)** **About LangChain** We're building the foundation for agent engineering, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents. With $125M raised at Series B, we're scaling rapidly with 100M+ monthly open source downloads and 6,000+ active LangSmith customers. **The Team** The Deployed Engineering team is the technical front line of our go-to-market motion. We partner with customers from first technical conversation through production rollout, owning the technical win across evaluations, POCs, and deployments. **What You'll Do** • Own technical wins—scope evaluations, run discovery, design POCs for real use cases • Lead architecture reviews, security discussions, and competitive evaluations • Co-architect and build production AI agents with customer teams • Deploy and operate agent-based applications (conversational, research, multi-step workflows) • Run demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences • Advise customers on architecture, best practices, and expansion opportunities • Surface field feedback to product; build reusable POC assets and cookbooks • Contribute code upstream when it improves customer outcomes **What You'll Bring** • 6+ years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, customer engineering, software engineering, or startup product roles • Comfort owning technical threads in sales cycles (discovery, POCs, architecture reviews) • Ability to explain technical tradeoffs and build trust with developers • Track record of taking responsibility for outcomes • Bias toward action and willingness to figure things out • Genuine interest in operating AI agents in production **Nice to Haves** • Production AI agent deployment experience (LangChain, LangGraph, similar frameworks) • Technical number carrying or pipeline experience with sales teams • LLM evaluation, observability, or guardrails experience • Cloud environment experience (AWS, GCP, Azure), containers, Kubernetes **Compensation & Benefits** $200,000–$250,000 USD OTE | Base salary, variable compensation, equity, medical/dental/vision, flexible vacation, 401(k), meals on in-office days
