**Engineering Manager, Object Storage** **About the Role** Build and lead a team of talented engineers creating an object storage product on the Render platform. This role blends strong technical leadership with product thinking, partnering closely with product managers and designers to translate user needs into a high-quality, scalable system. **What You'll Do** • Build and lead a team of object storage engineers through mentorship and technical guidance • Drive execution on key product initiatives from ideation through launch • Partner with Product, Design, and Infra teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions • Engage in technical discussions and guide system design decisions • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement • Break down complex problems into incremental milestones that deliver value quickly • Ensure teams maintain strong understanding of developer experience and customer impact **What We're Looking For** • 8+ years as an Engineer shipping products with downstream business impact (ideally with stateful services experience) • 2+ years managing people, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management • Strong technical background with ability to engage in system design and architecture • Product-oriented mindset with experience translating business goals into engineering roadmaps • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design • Strong sense of ownership for team outcomes and long-term system health **Nice-to-Haves** • Experience building products for developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, or DevTools • Background with highly scalable distributed systems or infrastructure platforms • Track record improving engineering velocity through tooling and processes • Experience building products used directly by developers **Benefits** • 4 weeks paid vacation • 14 weeks fully paid parental leave • 100% employer-paid medical coverage, 99% dental/vision • Monthly wellness and lifestyle stipend • Home office stipends and continuous learning benefits *Not eligible for new visa sponsorship; existing visa transfers considered at Render's discretion.*
