**Staff Frontend Software Engineer, AI Product: Observe by Snowflake** **About the Role** Set technical direction for AI-native observability at the frontier of agentic AI. You'll own frontend architecture decisions, design AI interfaces for complex reasoning workflows, and ship to customers solving real production problems daily. **Key Responsibilities** • Define frontend architecture for AI Products, making foundational decisions on components, state management, and rendering strategies • Build agentic AI interfaces that surface multi-step reasoning, tool-use results, and real-time streaming responses • Design and develop the Observe Slack integration for real-time conversational AI SRE interactions • Contribute to CLI tooling, evaluation pipelines, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations • Mentor engineers and shape product roadmap through collaboration with product and design teams **Required Experience** • 10+ years professional software engineering; 6+ years focused on frontend at scale • Expert-level TypeScript proficiency (non-negotiable) • Deep experience building complex, interactive web applications with architectural ownership • Production experience with agentic AI systems and tool-use patterns (Vercel AI SDK, Anthropic Agent SDK, LangGraph, etc.) • Strong Node.js backend experience (Express, Hono, Fastify, or similar) • MCP (Model Context Protocol) implementation/consumption experience • Demonstrated technical leadership and product-obsessed mindset • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent **Bonus Skills** • LLM evaluation (evals) pipeline experience • Bun runtime experience • Developer platform or internal tools background • Open-source AI/observability contributions • OpenTelemetry or observability ecosystem familiarity **Why Join** Startup autonomy (small team, direct impact, no bureaucracy) + Snowflake resources (infrastructure, data platform, enterprise reach).
