**Senior Software Engineer - Billing Platform** **About the Role** Own medium-sized projects end-to-end on Snowflake's Billing & Payments Platform team. Build federated, distributed billing systems that meter, rate, and invoice usage across every Snowflake service. Shape billing strategy for AI products and use AI as a first-class collaborator in development and debugging. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and launch billing systems end-to-end; contribute to large, multi-team initiatives • Build distributed metering, rating, and invoicing infrastructure across all cloud regions • Partner with Product, Finance, GTM, and Cortex AI teams on AI product commercialization • Own reliability, participate in on-call, and drive systemic improvements • Become the go-to expert for billing components and mentor other engineers **Required Experience** • 5+ years building and supporting large-scale, production distributed systems • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience • Strong fundamentals: distributed systems, databases, SQL, data modeling, performance tuning • Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, or Go • Track record of owning reliability and debugging production issues • Excellent cross-functional communication skills **Bonus Skills** • Prior billing, payments, metering, or revenue systems experience at SaaS/cloud companies • Fraud detection or abuse mitigation experience • AI/ML pricing model design experience • Snowflake platform experience (Snowpark, Streams, Cortex) **Why Join** Build on Snowflake with Snowflake.
