**Solutions Architect, Observe** **About the Role** Snowflake's Observe business unit is seeking a Solutions Architect to serve as the architectural foundation of the post-sales practice. You'll design durable, scalable observability architectures, ensuring enterprise implementations start with a sound technical foundation. **Key Responsibilities** • Conduct technical discovery and assess complex enterprise environments for observability needs • Design end-to-end observability architectures covering ingestion, pipelines, data modeling, and alerting • Lead migrations from existing platforms (Splunk, ELK, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic) to Observe • Produce high-quality handoff artifacts: reference architectures, design decision records, implementation plans • Partner with Implementation Engineering teams to develop internal standards and runbooks • Build and maintain field demo infrastructure for pre-sales and IE teams • Mentor junior Implementation Engineers and serve as technical authority on complex scenarios • Advise on OpenTelemetry adoption strategies • Contribute field insights to influence product roadmap **What You Bring** • 8+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Architect, Staff/Principal Engineer, SRE, or observability engineer) • Deep expertise in observability platforms and telemetry systems at scale • Strong hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry and multi-signal pipeline design • Proven ability to design enterprise migrations and scalable architectures • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills **Nice to Have** • SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps background • Experience building demo/lab environments • Kubernetes-native observability patterns knowledge • Professional services experience • Direct experience with Observe **Performance Metrics** Success measured by: time-to-first-value, customer satisfaction scores, on-time delivery, escalation rates, and Observe consumption growth.
