**Senior Software Engineer - Observe by Snowflake, Workflow** **About the Role** Design and build scalable, high-quality backend features powering dashboards and data visualization tools. You'll analyze and improve performance, scalability, and availability of large-scale distributed systems while leading technical design reviews and partnering across Frontend, Logs, and APM teams. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and build scalable backend features for dashboards and data visualization • Analyze, improve, and maintain performance of large-scale distributed systems • Lead technical scoping and design reviews; identify and solve architectural bottlenecks • Partner with Frontend, Logs, and APM teams on end-to-end platform experiences • Collaborate with Product Managers on roadmap planning and execution • Own full delivery lifecycle from requirements through production observability **Required Qualifications** • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Proficiency in Go or another high-performance systems programming language • Experience designing user-facing features for distributed, production-scale architectures • Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems • Ability to translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable software **Bonus Skills** • Backend API/service experience for dashboarding or data visualization platforms • Cross-stack backend/frontend collaboration experience • Query languages, data processing systems, or observability platform familiarity • Technical leadership and mentoring experience **Why Join** Work at the intersection of observability, UX, and distributed systems.
