**Engineering Manager, AI Platform** **About the Role:** Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team building next-generation infrastructure for Large Language Models (LLMs) at Crusoe. You'll guide the design and implementation of highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems while shaping the engineering roadmap and driving key project execution. **Location:** San Francisco, CA or Sunnyvale, CA (On-site) **Key Responsibilities:** • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-caliber software engineers • Partner with leadership to define AI roadmap and drive accountability • Oversee architecture and development of core AI services (task queues, model management, scheduling) • Ensure delivery of scalable systems handling millions of API requests per second • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Infrastructure, and GTM teams • Promote technical excellence, mentorship, and engineering process evolution **Required Qualifications:** • 3+ years managing/leading high-performing engineering teams • Hands-on experience with distributed systems or AI infrastructure • Deep knowledge of cloud-native environments and container orchestration • Strong product delivery focus and startup/growth-stage experience • Excellent communication and collaboration skills **Preferred Qualifications:** • Background in Computer Science or related technical field • Proficiency in Python, GoLang, or Rust • Experience with Kubernetes, gRPC, and observability stacks • Familiarity with CPU/GPU performance, inference frameworks, or LLM systems • Knowledge of open-source AI ecosystems (vLLM, Hugging Face, Triton) **Compensation & Benefits:** • $215,000 - $260,000 + Bonus • Restricted Stock Units • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance • Paid time off, holidays, parental leave • 401(k) with 4% company match • Professional development & tuition reimbursement • Mental health support, commuter benefits, daily meals allowance • And more **Equal Opportunity Employer**
