The registry is on the critical path of every deployment and job launch on our platform—its performance directly impacts how quickly customer workloads come online. You’ll **own the evolution of the registry**, drive its **scaling roadmap**, and be accountable for how it **performs, degrades, and recovers** in production. **Full-time position.** --- ### What You’ll Be Working On - **Own the technical direction:** Set the architecture and scaling roadmap for Crusoe Cloud’s container registry. Establish patterns and standards, and stay accountable for scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - **Ship end-to-end:** Drive high-impact changes from design through production, staying accountable for scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - **Push performance limits:** Drive system-wide performance strategy and get ahead of demand curves. Make architecture tradeoffs that keep the registry dependable as it grows. - **Multiply the team:** Raise the team’s technical bar through architecture, design, and code review, plus mentorship—staying hands-on on complex challenges. - **Drive technical strategy across teams:** Influence designs across adjacent teams, align with product and partners on priorities and tradeoffs, and lead technical response when things break. --- ### What You’ll Bring to the Team - **Distributed systems at scale:** Proven success designing, scaling, and hardening distributed systems while keeping them reliable under high-load production environments. - **Performance-driven mindset:** Deep, practical experience profiling, benchmarking, and optimizing distributed systems; strong judgment around latency, throughput, caching, and resource tradeoffs. - **Thrive in ambiguity:** Turn ambiguous performance problems into measured action and durable fixes; identify constraints before they reach customers. - **System-level ownership:** Experience owning critical systems (details not included in the provided description).
