**Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Efficiency** **About the Role:** Design, develop, and maintain scalable platforms for resource ownership, usage attribution, and cost modeling. Build AI agents and automation to enhance monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis. Optimize data ingestion and query efficiency for cloud utilization data at scale. **Key Responsibilities:** • Design scalable platform for resource registry, usage attribution, and cost modeling • Build AI agents, tools, and automation for system monitoring and analysis • Improve data ingestion, storage, and query efficiency at scale • Collaborate across teams on attribution and observability solutions • Contribute to open-source monitoring and distributed systems best practices • Ensure high availability through on-call rotations and incident management • Partner with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams on operational improvements **Required Qualifications:** • 7+ years designing and supporting large-scale production systems • Experience with cost optimization on private or public cloud platforms • Strong system and architectural analysis skills • Track record delivering cross-functional projects with measurable impact • Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Background building AI agents and working with LLMs **Nice to Have:** • Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or similar observability tools • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP billing models and infrastructure • FinOps experience (cost attribution, chargeback, unit-economics) **Learn more:** careers.snowflake.com
