**Senior Engineering Manager - OLTP** **About the Role** Lead engineering teams building core transactional database technology and cloud infrastructure at scale. Set technical strategy, grow the organization, and drive technology from design through production. **Key Responsibilities** • Set technical and execution strategy for Snowflake's OLTP platform • Lead and grow multiple engineering teams, developing managers and senior technical leaders • Drive adoption of AI and agentic development practices to improve engineering velocity • Drive architecture and technical decisions (transactions, concurrency, query processing, storage, indexing, replication, scalability) • Ensure operational readiness and reliability of mission-critical database services • Lead major initiatives from design through implementation and production operation • Partner with cross-functional leaders to define priorities and align roadmaps • Recruit and develop exceptional engineers and engineering leaders **Required Experience** • 10+ years in database internals, OLTP databases, or distributed storage systems • 8+ years leading engineering teams, including multiple teams and managers • Deep experience with transactions, concurrency, consistency, replication, recovery, and database performance • Experience operating mission-critical systems with high availability and durability standards • Strong hands-on technical ability and complex codebase navigation • Significant cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications** • OLTP or Postgres internals experience • Understanding of AI-assisted and agentic software development **Why Join** Help define the next generation of Snowflake's OLTP platform.
