**Senior Data Engineer** **About the Role** Join Plaid's Data Platform team in a high-impact role enabling data-driven decision-making across the company. You'll own core data pipelines, design golden datasets, and collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to build Plaid's data strategy. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and maintain data models and pipelines powering our data lake and warehouse • Lead data engineering projects driving cross-company collaboration • Ensure data quality, performance, and documentation with defined SLAs • Advocate for industry tools and best practices in data infrastructure • Partner with stakeholders to balance technical and business needs **Required Qualifications** • 4+ years of dedicated data engineering experience at scale • Expertise with large datasets (500TB to petabytes) • Strong SQL skills and experience with DBT, Airflow, Mode • Hands-on experience with Redshift, Snowflake, or Databricks • Experience building batch and realtime pipelines (Spark, Kafka) • Schema design and analytics optimization skills • Comfortable managing low-level data infrastructure **Preferred Skills** • Proof-of-concept development balancing innovation and adoption • Experience with data privacy and integrity best practices • Empathetic stakeholder collaboration **About Plaid** Plaid powers financial connectivity for millions of users across 12,000+ institutions in the US, Canada, UK, and Europe.
