**Staff Software Engineer - Credit Insights** **About the Role** Lead technical architecture and execution across credit insights products at Plaid. You'll define the future of our Credit Decisioning platform, scaling systems to handle ~100x load increases while partnering with Product, Data Science, and ML teams to productionize cashflow-based lending insights. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and scale backend architecture for credit insights: data fetching, online feature serving, offline pipelines, and model training tooling • Scale systems through expected 100x increase in load from deterministic factors • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and ML teams to develop insights enabling credit underwriting • Mentor engineers and foster inclusive team culture **Required Qualifications** • Strong experience building and scaling backend products • Technical leadership skills: mentoring, project leadership, architectural decisions • Proven success with production systems serving ML models (online and offline) • Experience collaborating with data science/ML teams and cross-functional stakeholders **Nice-to-Have** • Experience in credit or lending space **About Plaid** Plaid powers financial connections for millions.
