**Data Scientist II - Big Data R&D, Identity Graph & Deceased Monitoring** **About Socure** Socure is building identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy, verifying identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. **About the Role** The Big Data R&D team develops core identity graph and entity-resolution capabilities powering Socure's Deceased Monitoring and compliance products. You'll develop graph-based algorithms and data pipelines on massive PII datasets, support modelers with features, and evaluate new data sources. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and implement ML, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms for identity verification and anomaly detection • Analyze large datasets to develop entity-resolution and identity-matching algorithms • Build and maintain data-processing pipelines (ETL, feature generation) using Spark/PySpark and AWS • Support senior data scientists with feature engineering, data exploration, and A/B testing • Evaluate third-party and internal data sources for quality and model impact • Implement SQL and Python/R code for data extraction, transformation, and validation • Provide analytical support to compliance and product teams • Communicate findings clearly to peers and cross-functional partners **Required Qualifications** • Master's degree + 2+ years experience, PhD + 1+ years, or equivalent practical experience in data science/analytics • Proficiency in Python or Scala • Strong SQL skills for large datasets • Hands-on experience with Spark/PySpark and ML libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow/PyTorch) • Familiarity with UNIX and AWS (EMR, S3) • Knowledge of supervised/unsupervised ML and statistics • Strong problem-solving and communication skills **Nice to Have** • Graph techniques or graph databases (Neo4j, AWS Neptune, GraphFrames) • Elasticsearch or DynamoDB experience • Airflow or similar workflow tools • Databricks experience **Requirements** Must be located within 45 miles of a talent hub.
