## Staff Software Engineer — Snowpark Container Service At Snowflake, we’re powering the era of the agentic enterprise. You’ll join the **Snowpark Container Service** team (part of the **Snowflake Compute Platform**) to build an **elastic, high-scale, high-performance, cloud-native compute platform** that makes bringing Compute to Data effortless. Snowpark Container Services is a **fully managed container offering** that helps customers **deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications** without moving data out of Snowflake. As a managed service, it includes **Snowflake security, configuration, and operational best practices**. --- ### As a Staff Software Engineer, you will: - Design and develop features; understand customer requirements and meet business goals. - Lead a team of engineers: mentor, guide, and set technical direction and strategy for major product areas. - Manage projects end-to-end: design, coding, reviews, testing, observability, tooling, and on-call support. - Build highly reliable, fault-tolerant software for large customers. - Ensure operational readiness and maintainability with a strong focus on **reliability, availability, debuggability, and performance**. - Design and build **Kubernetes-based, OCI-compliant container compute platform** features that scale and evolve with customer needs. - Contribute to an early-stage service with the opportunity for outsized impact. --- ### Our ideal candidate will have most of the following qualifications: - Excitement to learn new things and a passion to grow. - Strong teamwork and a culture of transparency, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. - Ability to work across functions and teams. - **10+ years** of experience building features/capabilities for large-scale systems or infrastructure platforms. - Strong computer science fundamentals and experience building **distributed systems**. - Hands-on coding experience in **Java, C++, or Go** (highly desirable). - Ability to work **on-site** in our **downtown Bellevue** office. --- ### Bonus points for: - Experience building products/services with **Kubernetes**. - Designing and implementing features with **multi-cloud support** (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience implementing **multi-tenant systems** (details not fully provided in the source).
