**Staff Software Engineer, Enterprise Apps** **About the Role** Join Coinbase's Agent Engagement and Experience team within Enterprise Applications and Architecture. You'll architect customer experience platforms powering customer service and compliance processes for CX agents company-wide, building innovative services that resolve issues faster and with greater accuracy. **What You'll Do** • Architect and deliver distributed backend systems and foundational infrastructure (dynamic configuration, container orchestration, secrets storage) using Golang, gRPC, TypeScript, and React • Lead technical direction by defining strategic roadmaps, translating ambiguous problems into clear architectural plans with measurable outcomes • Build and scale high-reliability services streamlining CX agent workflows and compliance processes, owning end-to-end delivery • Mentor engineers on design techniques, coding standards, testing practices, and operational best practices • Partner cross-functionally across time zones to identify platform improvements and communicate complex technical concepts **Required Experience** • 8+ years of software engineering with demonstrated ability to architect distributed systems solving high-impact problems • Deep proficiency in Go (Golang) building scalable, high-traffic backend services in production (API development, event-driven architectures, SQL/NoSQL databases) • Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing) • Proven track record leading technical projects end-to-end, mentoring engineers, and influencing architectural decisions • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs **Compensation** $218,025 – $256,500 USD base salary (varies by location).
