**Engineering Manager - Platform (FinHub - Financial Intelligence)** **About the Role:** Lead the engineers building account and transaction history infrastructure at Coinbase. You'll guide your team through re-architecting foundational systems for the next decade of scale while enabling new financial products like sub-accounts, retirement accounts, and agentic trading experiences. **What You'll Do:** • Lead and grow a team of 6 engineers across multiple levels, coaching on technical excellence and career development • Drive re-architecture of core account and history systems to support new product primitives and higher throughput • Own the FinHub Tools roadmap, building internal UIs, dashboards, and agentic workflows • Shape architectural decisions across distributed systems, streaming pipelines, and full-stack tooling • Collaborate with product, finance, and engineering leadership to define quarterly roadmaps • Partner with talent organization to recruit engineers and own engineering quality processes **Required Experience:** • 7+ years in software engineering with 2+ years of engineering management experience • Proven track record delivering and operating distributed systems at scale in production • Success translating ambiguous technical problems into concrete execution plans • Experience with financial systems, event-driven architectures, or high-precision transaction processing • Comfort leading diverse teams (backend services, streaming pipelines, full-stack tooling) • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight **Compensation:** Base salary: $218,025 – $256,500 USD (varies by location) Total compensation includes equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)) **About Coinbase:** Remote-first company with quarterly in-person working sessions.
