**Software Engineer, CDP - Payment Acceptance** **About the Role** Build the stablecoin payment rail powering merchant checkout, subscriptions, and onchain settlement. Own end-to-end payment experience from merchant-facing checkout components through gRPC orchestration services to onchain settlement workers across multiple EVM chains. **What You'll Do** • Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and React/Next.js merchant checkout, including gRPC/HTTP APIs, protobuf definitions, database migrations, and TypeScript integrations • Build and refine buyer checkout UI (payment links, embeddable components, wallet connection flows) with focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance • Implement durable, fault-tolerant payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement, refunds, and reconciliation • Instrument changes with structured logs, metrics, and Datadog traces; own on-call rotation for shipped services • Partner with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into the broader Coinbase developer platform **Required Experience** • 3+ years professional full-stack software engineering in Go (concurrency, gRPC, testing) and TypeScript/React (hooks, suspense, server components, Next.js) • Relational database experience (PostgreSQL preferred): schema design, migrations, query performance, transactional correctness • API design (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and production observability (Datadog, OpenTelemetry) • Durable workflow systems (Temporal, Cadence, Step Functions) or EVM blockchain/stablecoin experience • Clear communication: design docs, PRs, runbooks enabling cross-team collaboration • Responsible use of generative AI tools with human oversight **Compensation** $152,405 – $179,300 USD base salary (excludes equity and bonus) **Location**: Remote-first (quarterly in-person surges) **Job ID**: #P77903
