**Senior Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack (Marketplace and Consumer Experiences)** **About the Role** Affirm is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead technical excellence across core consumer experiences, starting with Marketplace and Search. You'll define technical strategy, collaborate with engineering leaders, and drive scalable, reliable solutions across iOS, Android, and Web platforms. **What You'll Do** • Lead the technical vision and long-term roadmap for Marketplace, Search, Ads Platform, and App Experiences • Champion technical excellence in conjunction with business results across consumer-facing experiences • Build a strong ownership culture with high accountability and investment for scale and efficiency • Guide and deliver critical user experiences that provide customer value quickly and reliably • Design and extend core platform components to enable new products and features • Architect decisions on platforms, tools, and technologies for consistency and reliability • Mentor and lead engineers by championing best practices and fostering growth **What We Look For** • 10+ years of full-stack experience with architectural improvements in backend (React Native, Javascript, or Kotlin a plus) • Track record of leading critical projects across organizational boundaries • Extensive experience developing technical strategy that drove reliability and responsiveness improvements • Project or people management experience with strong influence and coaching abilities • Ownership mindset and ability to foster similar culture • Collaborative partnership across teams and cross-functional stakeholders • Customer-first mindset focused on best-in-class experiences • Comfort with ambiguity and diving into code to understand systems and dependencies • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent practical experience **Compensation & Benefits** Base Pay Grade: R | Equity Grade: 15 **USA Base Pay Range:** $265,000 - $325,000 (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) | $236,000 - $296,000 (other states) **Benefits Include** • 100% subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents • Flexible Spending Wallets for technology, food, lifestyle, and family needs • Competitive vacation and holiday schedules • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) • Remote-first work environment **Remote:** Yes (#LI-Remote)
