This hybrid role splits between ensuring reliable, accessible data pipelines and building AI agents/automations that enable a small team to operate at scale. **What You'll Do** **Own the data foundation** • Maintain and optimize ETL pipelines feeding Snowflake warehouse and Metabase reporting • Diagnose anomalies, fix breakages, and improve reliability • Build models, views, and dashboards for team self-service **Be the internal data resource** • Turn ad hoc requests from Ops, Marketing, and Growth into SQL, models, and answers • Work with stakeholders to understand underlying business questions • Push toward self-service analytics **Build AI into company operations** • Design and ship AI agents and agentic workflows • Build skills and orchestration layers for 10x team productivity • Integrate LLMs from Anthropic, OpenAI, and others • Build retrieval and semantic search over ingredient library and customer data • Prototype fast and turn what works into reliable systems **What We're Looking For** • Strong SQL experience with real warehouse queries • Hands-on experience with data pipelines and ETL • Experience with BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or equivalent) • Hands-on experience building with LLMs (prompting, retrieval, tool use, agentic patterns) • Solid database and API fundamentals • Ability to move from ambiguous questions to prototypes to production systems • Strong product instincts and ability to distinguish real AI value from hype • Comfort with ambiguity and preference for ownership **Nice to Have** • Python and modern backend development • Front-end or web development experience • Subscription, DTC, or e-commerce data modeling • Snowflake experience • Vector databases and RAG architectures • LLM evaluation and monitoring systems • AWS, GCP, or Azure experience • Early-stage or high-growth company experience • AI research, open-source, or technical publication contributions **How You'll Work** You thrive if you're deeply curious about AI but fundamentally an engineer and builder. We care less about what you know than how you learn—the AI landscape resets every few months.
