## Kalshi Trading — Trading Systems Engineer Kalshi is defining a new category: **prediction markets**. We’re looking for **backend engineers** to build and maintain the infrastructure underlying our trading operations. **Ideal candidate attributes:** - At least **3 years** of professional experience as a backend engineer - Experience directly building **trading systems**, including **order management** - Experience building **robust, high-performance event-driven systems** and **APIs** - Experience writing **concurrent code** - Very comfortable with **relational databases** (e.g., **Postgres**) - Familiarity with the **AWS stack** (especially **RDS** and **ECS**) - Proficiency in one of: **Golang**, **Rust**, **C++** **Additional (nice to have):** - Familiarity with **stream processing** (Kafka) - Familiarity with **frontend development** - Familiarity with **machine learning / neural networks / generative AI**, including **LLMs** - Experience trading on **Kalshi** or other prediction markets The rest of the role is up to you—there’s significant **greenfield** work, and you’ll have a lot of influence in shaping both your role and the activity of Kalshi Trading as we grow. ### NYC Pay Transparency Disclosure - **Salary Range:** **$200,000 to $300,000** annually, plus **equity and benefits** *This salary range is based on current available market data and represents the expected salary range for this role.*
