**Senior Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management** **About the Role** Datadog is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead vulnerability management across our multi-cloud products and services. You'll combine security judgment with hands-on engineering to scale the vulnerability lifecycle, turning ambiguous security problems into clear solutions. **What You'll Do** • Work across the full vulnerability lifecycle: detection, impact assessment, risk-based prioritization, remediation, and verification • Use AI and automation to build tools, services, and workflows that scale security solutions • Reduce engineering toil through automation that enriches findings, identifies ownership, and tracks outcomes • Analyze recurring vulnerabilities to identify root causes and prevention opportunities earlier in the SDLC • Partner with SDLC Security, Product Security, platform, and engineering teams to balance technical constraints and business impact • Provide expertise for vulnerability management processes across SOC2, HIPAA, PCI, FedRAMP, and ISO compliance frameworks **Who You Are** • Experience identifying, prioritizing, and driving remediation of vulnerabilities in large software, cloud, or infrastructure environments • Proficient in one or more programming languages (Go, Python, Java) • Experience with cloud-native/multi-cloud environments, containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, and modern software delivery • Ability to reproduce and validate externally reported vulnerabilities • Use data, exploitability, exposure, and business impact to make risk decisions • Comfortable making progress without complete specifications; you break problems down and adjust as new information emerges • Thoughtful use of AI-assisted tools with ability to validate output and explain reasoning • Strong influence across security, engineering, product, and compliance teams • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) **Benefits** • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan • Continuous professional development and career pathing • Mentor and buddy programs • Inclusive company culture and Community Guilds • Free global mental health benefits • Competitive global benefits **Work Environment** Hybrid workplace.
