**Senior Professional Services Engineer - PubSec - DC Metro** **About the Role** Deliver infrastructure and platform work on federal engagements in FedRAMP-authorized cloud environments, DoD Impact Level 4/5 enclaves, and disconnected networks. Install and configure GitLab in classified environments, migrate agencies from legacy tooling, train government technical staff, and advise on security and compliance posture. **Key Responsibilities** • Deliver Statement of Work scope independently on federal engagements • Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot GitLab in cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments • Complete installations in disconnected networks using offline package management • Configure GitLab against agency security baselines (DISA STIG, FIPS, SAML/PIV-CAC) • Build and execute migration plans from Bitbucket, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, and legacy systems • Serve as primary technical contact for agency engineering and security teams • Translate compliance requirements into GitLab configurations • Document implementations, create runbooks, and support authorization work **Required Qualifications** • **Active TS/SCI clearance and DC Metro area residency (required)** • Customer-facing infrastructure or platform delivery experience • Infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef) • Major cloud provider experience (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Google Assured Workloads) • GitLab deployment and administration experience with CI/CD, container registry, Docker, Kubernetes • Experience in regulated environments (federal, DoD, defense industrial base, financial services, healthcare) • Federal compliance frameworks knowledge (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53/800-171, CMMC, DISA STIGs) • Strong written and verbal communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** • Prior GitLab Professional Services or federal systems integrator experience • Scripting in Python, Ruby, or Go • GitLab Dedicated for Government or FedRAMP SaaS experience • Open source contributions **Compensation & Benefits** $164,880 – $277,560 USD base salary | Equity | Flexible PTO | Health & wellness benefits | Growth & development fund | Parental leave
