**Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer** **Location:** Linthicum, Maryland (On-site) **About the Role** Two Six Technologies is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join the Trusted Electronics and Effects team. You'll work on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) bench automation, test harness orchestration, and continuous integration workflows for embedded software verification. **What You'll Do** • Leverage test harnesses to accelerate software and firmware security verification • Automate target device execution, bench instrument control, and continuous software test suites • Validate software behavior, system execution states, and patch deployment **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) • Experience designing or using automated test harnesses, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups, or test bench environments • Strong programming proficiency in Python, C, C++, or Rust • Experience establishing continuous integration pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and Docker • Hands-on experience with hardware debugging protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG) • Daily on-site availability in Linthicum, Maryland **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience triaging and remediating security vulnerabilities detected by AI • Experience with QEMU, Docker, or other emulation/virtualization platforms • Experience integrating hardware instrumentation into continuous test pipelines • Knowledge of software patch verification and automated test suite creation **Security Requirement** • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required **Salary Range** $139,692 – $209,538 USD (annualized) **Benefits** Medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability insurance; retirement benefits; paid leave; tuition assistance; and professional development.
