## Senior Software Engineer - EDR Workflows - Security **About the Role** The Security EDR Workflows team builds core capabilities powering Elastic Defend management experience. Focus areas include policy configuration and management, Elastic Defend and third-party provider response actions, and forensics capabilities through OSquery. The team leads XDR expansion to SIEM foundations while enhancing onboarding and security product management UX. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll design and build workflows and user-facing capabilities for the Elastic Defend agent to protect against and respond to security threats. You'll collaborate with security engineering teams, product, and design to deliver robust, high-scale features for security practitioners worldwide. **What You'll Do** • Design and implement features powering Elastic Defend UI capabilities • Build and evolve APIs for product interaction with Elastic Defend data • Contribute to architecture of Elastic Defend management and response actions framework with OSquery forensics • Develop scalable, high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem • Own reliability, observability, and operational health from design to production • Write production-grade code in TypeScript/Node.js and other languages • Collaborate across Elastic engineering teams on cross-team efforts • Help improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes with AI • Participate in code reviews, technical design decisions, and engineering practice improvements • Leverage AI to supercharge development work **What You Bring** • Solid programming experience in TypeScript/Node.js and React.js • Ability to own problems end-to-end: requirements clarification, design, delivery, monitoring, and production iteration • Proficiency using AI for problem comprehension and rapid solution ramp-up • AI-powered development mindset • Initiative-taking approach: asking right questions, avoiding assumptions, improving product and engineering processes
