**SAP Technical Lead** **Location:** San Francisco, CA or Mountain View, CA **Job ID:** GAQ126R43 **About the Role** Databricks is seeking an SAP Technical Lead to own the technical architecture and delivery of our SAP platform. You'll define the technical vision for a clean-core S/4HANA landscape, lead engineering teams, and architect the intelligent AI layer connecting SAP to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. **Key Responsibilities** • Own end-to-end technical architecture for S/4HANA landscape aligned to clean-core principles • Define and lead extensibility strategy using Databricks-native applications • Drive enterprise AI integration with hands-on AI experience • Design secure, resilient integration across SAP and non-SAP systems • Partner on SAP data patterns for the Databricks Lakehouse • Establish CI/CD, testing, and deployment pipelines for BTP artifacts • Lead and mentor technical teams across the SAP ecosystem • Own performance, scalability, security, resilience, and cost **Required Experience** • 10+ years in SAP technical roles; 3+ years as technical lead or architect • Proven delivery of full S/4HANA program (greenfield or conversion) plus BTP extensions • Deep expertise in clean-core principles and custom-code assessment • Advanced SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, and CAP experience • Hands-on experience with agentic automation, LLM orchestration, and RAG • Advanced SAP Integration Suite, API management, and event-driven architecture knowledge • Solid understanding of modern data platforms and SAP data modeling • Working knowledge of SAP authorizations, SoD, SOX, and audit requirements • Strong leadership and ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience building custom applications on modern data platforms alongside SAP • Clear perspective on build-versus-adopt tradeoffs in SAP AI and extension stack • Hands-on knowledge of SAP integration surfaces (OData, REST APIs, CDS views, Datasphere) • Experience with Agile delivery and system integrators • SAP certifications in BTP, S/4HANA, or related areas • Background in high-growth tech companies **Compensation** Zone 1 Pay Range: $198,200 – $272,600 USD *Actual compensation based on skills, experience, certifications, and location.
