Headquartered in San Francisco with offices globally. **The Opportunity** Lead engineering for Postman's API Catalog—the system of record for API discovery, governance, and compliance at enterprise scale. You'll own a small, senior US-based team and drive cross-functional work across the organization to scale the product from validated to company-wide standard. **What This Team Owns** • Service discovery and ingestion breadth across cloud and self-hosted providers • Enterprise reporting and governance evidence (testing, CI pipelines, compliance) • Gateway federation across multiple vendors and accounts • Event-driven API support (Kafka and beyond) • Product maturity, reliability, and telemetry **What You'll Do** • Lead, coach, and grow a senior engineering team • Land work that crosses team boundaries—securing commitments and unblocking dependencies • Own technical direction: architecture, quality standards, and engineering fundamentals • Own delivery: roadmap, tradeoffs, and production reliability **What We're Looking For** **Must Have:** • 10+ years software engineering; 5+ years leading teams • Deep technical expertise on a hard problem you personally solved • Experience scaling a validated product (1→10) for enterprise adoption • Production ownership of enterprise integration surfaces at breadth • Proven ability to ship work across team boundaries • Experience leading senior-heavy teams • Multi-tenant enterprise SaaS background (on-prem/self-managed) • Full lifecycle ownership and clear communication **Nice to Have:** API gateways, cloud provider APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, analytical datastores, event-driven architectures, governance/compliance reporting **Compensation** Base salary: $280K–$320K + competitive equity **Benefits** Full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, monthly lunch stipend, team-building events, donation matching.
