**Director of Engineering, Infrastructure** **About Ripple** Ripple is building a world where value moves like information does today. Through crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers, we're improving the global financial system and creating greater economic fairness and opportunity worldwide. **The Role** Lead the technical and organizational strategy for Ripple's multi-cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platform, and developer experience. You'll manage multiple teams across compute platform, cloud infrastructure, developer experience, and reliability engineering. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead technical and organizational strategy for multi-cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platform • Lead multiple teams and managers across compute, cloud, developer experience, and reliability engineering • Define and deliver multi-year infrastructure roadmap including cluster architecture, workload orchestration, and CI/CD • Set standards for operational excellence: SLOs, incident response, postmortems, and rollout practices • Drive multi-cloud strategy: workload placement, portability, disaster recovery, and multi-region resilience • Partner with Security and Compliance on SOC 2, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements • Own cloud spend and efficiency accountability • Provide hands-on technical leadership: architecture reviews, design docs, and code reviews • Mentor and develop your team professionally and technically • Scale the organization by attracting and developing exceptional leaders and engineers **What We're Looking For** • 12+ years hands-on software and infrastructure engineering; 5+ years leading teams and managers • Deep production-grade Kubernetes experience at scale (multi-cluster, multi-tenant, autoscaling) • Experience across multiple major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Strong background in infrastructure-as-code and declarative operations (Terraform, Helm, GitOps) • Track record building highly available, secure distributed systems with strong observability • Experience with service networking, service mesh, and securing traffic across cloud boundaries • Demonstrated ability to improve developer experience measurably • Experience in regulated environments with security and compliance partnerships • Strong leadership and communication skills • BS or equivalent in Computer Science or similar **Nice to Have** FinTech, payments, or crypto infrastructure experience; blockchain node operations; hardware security modules or high-assurance key management systems. **Why Join Us** • Fast-paced startup environment with experienced industry leaders • Learning environment with professional development budget • Flexible in-office collaboration (10+ days/month) • Competitive salary, bonuses, and equity • Comprehensive benefits including healthcare, retirement, and family support • Generous vacation and parental leave policies • Wellness programs and catered lunches **Equal Opportunity** Ripple is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
