## At Braze Braze is looking for a **Software Engineer II** to join the **SMS team**, responsible for building and scaling Braze’s **SMS and RCS channels**. ## What you’ll do - Ship **high-value full-stack features** quickly - Drive initiatives from **concept to delivery** - Own key technical areas and solve **open-ended problems** - Help keep the platform dependable as traffic expands - Work on channels end-to-end: **composition, sending, message responses, and analytics** - Support related services for chat messaging, including **internal click tracking** and **link shortening** ## Who you are - **5+ years** of full-stack development experience - Professional experience building **distributed systems at scale** - Solid understanding of **distributed systems**, **data structures**, and **algorithms** - A self-starter with strong **communication** and **organizational** skills - Prior experience working in a **team environment** ### Bonus - Experience with: **Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript** - Experience with **agile processes** ## Compensation (US) For candidates based in the United States, the pay range at the start of employment is expected to be **$104,400–$196,364/year**, with expected **On Target Earnings (OTE) of $116,000–$216,000/year** (including bonus or commission). Exact offers may vary based on factors like location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
