**Cloud Engineer I** **Overview** American Systems is now hiring! Join a dynamic, collaborative environment dedicated to innovation and customer success with expanded resources and growth opportunities. **Responsibilities** • Deploy, integrate, operate, and maintain VMware vSphere 8, vSAN, Microsoft Azure Cloud, and Office 365 environments • Perform systems administration and engineering tasks; troubleshoot issues • Participate in Azure cloud platform integration into customer environments • Provide high-level customer interaction including pre-deployment planning and technical escalations • Implement enterprise cloud solutions using vSphere 8, vSAN, Office 365, Active Directory, Cloud Identities, Exchange, Teams, ADFS, AAD Connect, Intune, and PowerShell • Ensure technology implementation follows standards and best practices • Perform root cause analysis and provide guidance on issue prevention • Analyze customer business requirements and execute end-to-end implementations • Maintain cloud governance standards and security controls • Stay informed of emerging cloud and Office 365 technologies **Required Qualifications** • U.S. Citizen (required by law) • Active DOD Interim Secret or Secret Clearance • DOD 8570 certification compliance (IAT Level II or Higher): CySA+, SSCP, Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or GSEC • VMware Certified Professional, MS Azure Fundamental, or higher certification • 3+ years systems engineering experience • Administration/engineering experience with vSphere, MS Azure, or Office 365 • Working knowledge of Azure infrastructure and Microsoft 365 deployments • Real-world Active Directory, GPO management experience • VMware administration and operations experience **Desired Qualifications** • Cloud application building/deployment experience • Familiarity with Azure AD, ADFS, Exchange Online, EOP, Teams, Intune • Knowledge of vSphere, Azure AD, Intune, Cloud App Security, Conditional Access **Skills** • Excellent communication, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities • Detail-oriented and self-motivated • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook • Availability for occasional weekend/after-hours support **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 **Salary:** $110,000 - $130,000/year **Benefits Include:** Healthcare, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance programs, education and training assistance **EEO Statement:** Equal opportunity employer (Race/Sex/Disability Status/Veteran Status)
