**Sr. Security Software Engineer, Security Operations** **About the Role:** We're looking for a Senior Security Software Engineer to provide technical leadership within Security Operations. You'll own and evolve foundational platforms that help Pinterest govern cloud infrastructure, identify and remediate vulnerabilities, automate security compliance and integrate security reviews into engineering workflows. **What You'll Do:** • Own the architecture and technical direction of critical Security Operations systems, automation and developer-facing security capabilities • Design and build reliable production services, infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code that govern Pinterest's cloud resources and software delivery workflows • Develop scalable guardrails and paved paths for identity and access, infrastructure changes, cloud configuration, service hardening and CI/CD security • Improve how Pinterest identifies, prioritizes and remediates security issues by integrating vulnerability signals and automating triage • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through implementation and operational maturity • Establish engineering standards and provide technical guidance that improve security systems and partner teams • Apply AI to accelerate engineering and security analysis while defining appropriate validation and accountability practices **What We're Looking For:** • Experience designing, building and operating complex production systems in security engineering, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering • Strong experience with AWS security architecture, Terraform and infrastructure-as-code in large-scale environments • Experience in cloud governance, CI/CD security, vulnerability management, security automation, compliance platforms or developer security tooling • Demonstrated ownership of complex technical initiatives with cross-team impact • Strong software engineering judgment across system design, APIs, reliability, observability and testing • Ability to influence technical decisions and communicate complex risks clearly • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) **Work Arrangement:** Remote with in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6 months. Not eligible for relocation assistance. **Compensation (US-based applicants):** $155,584 — $320,320 USD (plus equity eligibility)
