**Software Engineer, Data Visualization** **About the Company** General Matter enriches uranium and is designing, building, and operating the world's lowest-cost enrichment services in the US. The mission is to make nuclear the cleanest, safest, and most affordable source of baseload power. **About This Role** Design and implement visualization and operator-facing interfaces for test stands and production systems. Build high-performance, reliable UIs that render high-throughput sensor telemetry live and support situational awareness, alarm management, and post-run analysis. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and maintain high-performance live charting and dashboards for kHz-class, high-channel-count sensor telemetry • Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces for monitoring, control, alarming, and operational visibility • Build real-time streaming UIs and post-processing tools for cross-run comparison and analysis • Define modern software engineering practices, UI architecture, and rendering standards • Work with data platform, controls, and test automation teams • Lead debugging and performance improvements across the rendering-to-data stack **Basic Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field • 5+ years building real-time or data-intensive user interfaces • Strong production-level experience with TypeScript/React and Python • Hands-on experience with high-performance rendering and live data visualization • Experience with high-reliability, on-premise, 24/7 deployments in safety-critical environments **Preferred Skills** • HMI/SCADA platforms (e.g., Ignition) and dashboarding tools (e.g., Grafana) • WebGL, canvas, or custom rendering for high-throughput data • Pub/sub and time-series interfaces (OPC-UA, MQTT) • Background in industrial automation, aerospace, energy, or real-time graphics • Technical leadership and team mentoring experience **Compensation** Base salary: $125,000–$200,000 annually, plus stock options and benefits (medical, vision, dental, 401k).
