About this role
**Sr. Machine Learning Engineer** *Palo Alto, CA (Onsite 5x a week)* **About the Role** Help build state-of-the-art AI and machine learning technologies at Klaviyo. You'll train and deploy large-scale ML models, create AI agents for marketing automation, introduce conversational AI interfaces, and build generative models for content creation. Work with massive data streams (200,000+ customers, billions of profiles) to extract insights and deliver customer value. **What You'll Do** • Train and deploy large-scale ML models in production systems • Create AI agents that automatically generate marketing strategies and campaigns • Build conversational AI interfaces to improve product efficiency • Develop generative AI models for automated content creation • Work in fast-paced environments with rapid experimentation cycles **Required Experience** • Advanced degree in CS, AI, ML, or related field • 5+ years in AI/ML with track record of shipping impactful products • Proficiency with ML frameworks (Huggingface, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras) • Experience with distributed training (Spark, Ray, etc.) • Proven ability to lead technical projects and deliver customer-facing features • Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production • Full product lifecycle ownership: metrics, A/B testing, iteration • Experience mentoring others **Nice to Have** • Recommendation systems design and deployment • B2B experience with direct customer interaction • Technical roadmap development for ML solutions • Fine-tuning and productionizing large language models at scale **Compensation** Base Pay: $196,000 – $294,000 USD (varies by location) Includes: annual bonus, equity, comprehensive benefits **Travel** Up to 10% for onboarding, team meetings, and industry events
