**Senior Consulting Engineer** **About the Role** MongoDB Professional Services works with customers across all industries and sizes, from tier-1 banks to startups. You'll solve technically sophisticated problems, gain cross-stack experience, and work with industry leaders while supporting customer success with MongoDB implementations. **Key Responsibilities** • Contribute to customer implementations across the full application lifecycle • Deliver classroom-based training to architects, developers, and operations teams • Work as part of a delivery team with consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams • Serve as a trusted advisor guiding customers and MongoDB forward • Partner with Product and Engineering teams on the MongoDB product roadmap **Required Experience** • 10+ years of software development, consulting, or support experience across multiple industries • Proficiency in at least one: Java, C#, Python, Node.js, Ruby, or Go • Experience with databases (MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL) • Linux diagnostics and tuning knowledge; Windows tuning is a plus • Familiarity with enterprise-scale architectures and software deployment • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and presentation abilities • Comfortable with up to 15% travel to customer sites **What You'll Achieve** • Become a field expert in MongoDB • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences • Build trusted advisor relationships with clients • Ensure customer success with MongoDB initiatives • Influence product development with field insights **Compensation (U.S.)** $123,000 – $242,000 USD base salary **About MongoDB** MongoDB is a globally distributed data platform serving 67,000+ customers, including ~75% of the Fortune 100.
