**Full Stack Engineer, Flight Software** **About the Role** Join SpaceX's application software team—the central nervous system of the company. We create mission-critical applications that accelerate launch vehicle production, enable Starship reuse, and power Starlink's global internet service. You'll own challenging problems end-to-end, working with enthusiastic engineers to design solutions that directly impact SpaceX's mission. **Responsibilities** • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX • Create new applications that improve SpaceX operations • Build prototypes to prove design concepts and quantify technical constraints • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development • Deep dive into user problems to find efficient solutions • Contribute to team collaborations on architecture, design, and code reviews **Basic Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years professional software development experience • 1+ years of full stack development experience **Preferred Skills** • Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented languages • 1+ years building single page web applications • Version control, CI/CD concepts • Software system design expertise • Testing, build, deployment & monitoring proficiency • Application performance optimization • Build systems (Make, Bazel, Gradle) and package management (pip, npm) • UNIX-like OS experience; Terraform, Ansible, Puppet • In-stream data processing (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) • Docker and Kubernetes production experience • Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks • PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar databases **Requirements** • Onsite role (no remote/hybrid) • May require extended hours/weekends based on launch cadence • ITAR eligibility: U.S. citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee status required **Compensation** Level 1: $125,000–$160,000 | Level 2: $145,000–$195,000 *Actual level and salary determined case-by-case based on qualifications* Benefits include stock options, bonuses, medical/vision/dental, 401(k), disability/life insurance, parental leave, 3 weeks vacation, 10+ paid holidays, and paid sick leave. **Equal Opportunity Employer** | Merit-based hiring regardless of protected status
