With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, Gusto supports 500,000+ small businesses nationwide. **About the Role** Own the data layer for Gusto's Customer Experience transformation. Build pipelines, models, and dashboards that make CX data trustworthy and self-serve, then use that foundation to answer causal questions about what moves customer outcomes. **Day-to-Day Responsibilities** • Lead ambiguous problems and design analysis frameworks • Deliver high-impact projects while balancing trade-offs • Partner with CX leaders, data teams, and engineering on strategy • Apply advanced statistical methods and AI-driven anomaly detection • Define DBT and Snowflake pipeline requirements; build monitoring systems and dashboards • Work independently to prioritize and deliver data projects • Mentor team members and improve data modeling best practices • Present complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders **What We're Looking For** • 3+ years in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or Data Governance • Strong SQL and Python proficiency • Experience with cloud platforms (Snowflake) and data modeling • Proven track record building robust data pipelines and ETL workflows • Demonstrated experience designing governance for AI-assisted analytics • Clear communication skills; ability to explain complex investigations simply • Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities • Practical, frequent use of AI in analytics workflows with concrete examples **Compensation & Location** Denver & major metros: $111,160–$138,950/yr | San Francisco & New York: $134,735–$168,419/yr Hybrid: 2–3 days/week in office (Denver, San Francisco, New York, or Scottsdale) **Benefits** Competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) for all full-time employees.
