**Senior Software Architect, Browser Extension Platform** **About the Role** Keeper Security is hiring a Senior Software Architect to provide technical leadership for the Browser Extension team and shape the architecture of one of Keeper's most widely used client experiences. This is a 100% remote position, with hybrid options available for candidates in Chicago, IL or El Dorado Hills, CA. **Key Responsibilities** • Define and drive technical architecture for Keeper's browser extension platform across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and other browsers • Lead architectural design for complex browser-based features and cross-platform capabilities • Design scalable solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript and modern web technologies • Establish secure communication patterns between extension components, web apps, backend services and native integrations • Ensure architectural alignment with zero-knowledge and zero-trust security principles • Address performance, memory, reliability and scalability challenges • Guide migration and modernization initiatives as browser standards evolve • Partner with Product, UX, Security and QA teams on technical design and threat modeling • Lead architecture and design reviews across the engineering team • Mentor senior engineers and raise engineering quality standards **Required Qualifications** • 10+ years professional software engineering with full-stack expertise (databases, backend, APIs, infrastructure, UI) • Demonstrated 0-to-1 architecture experience designing complex systems from concept to production • Strong knowledge of software architecture, OOP design patterns and performance engineering • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, serverless and event-driven architectures • Cloud-native experience (AWS, Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes) • Deep understanding of database architecture and data modeling • Strong web and application security knowledge (CORS, OWASP, secure development) • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and release engineering • Proven ability to lead architecture discussions and mentor without formal authority • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience **Preferred Qualifications** • Deep experience with browser applications, extensions or client-side platform architecture • Enterprise security platform experience (IAM, CIEM, PAM, endpoint security) • High-scale SaaS or zero-trust application architecture experience • Compliance framework familiarity (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) • Native application integration experience **Benefits** • Medical, Dental & Vision coverage • Life Insurance (employer-paid and supplemental) • 401K (Roth/Traditional) • Generous PTO plan with paid bereavement and jury duty **About Keeper Security** One of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies protecting thousands of organizations and millions of people in 150+ countries.
