**Software Engineer III, Developer Platform** **About Box** Box (NYSE: BOX) is the leader in Intelligent Content Management. Our platform enables organizations to fuel collaboration, manage the entire content lifecycle, secure critical content, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI. **The Role** Box is building a new US-based Developer Platform team from the ground up. You'll shape the foundation of tools, infrastructure, and experiences that power how developers and admins interact with the Box platform—from SDK apps and analytics to self-service admin hubs and developer onboarding. **Key Responsibilities** • Collaborate with Product Management and cross-functional partners on the Developer Platform roadmap • Design and maintain scalable, reliable platform capabilities for developers and SaaS providers • Build developer sandboxes, onboarding experiences, and self-service tools • Drive innovation from concept to launch with rapid prototyping • Develop self-service app hubs and admin experiences for enterprise customers • Leverage large-scale datasets and big data technologies to improve the platform • Participate in on-call rotation and ensure operational excellence • Lead complex, cross-team initiatives with internal and external dependencies **Required Skills** • 3+ years of full stack software engineering experience (strong backend, databases, APIs) • Passion for product integrations that improve remote work efficiency • Experience developing against multiple APIs with ability to provide API design feedback • Solid understanding of the full web technology stack • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience • Experience with cloud-based services (security, scalability, reliability) • Strong collaboration skills with Product, UX, and engineering teams • Excellent problem-solving skills and passion for developer-friendly products **Preferred Skills** • Hands-on experience with big data technologies (Apache Spark, data pipelines) • Experience applying machine learning to engineering problems • Track record of building quick prototypes in greenfield environments • Experience with Box platform architecture, APIs, or SDK development • Experience building scalable, highly-available service-oriented architectures • Open source project contributions or developer community involvement **Work Environment** Minimum 3 days per week in-office.
