## Engineering Manager, IAM At Braze, we’re a genuinely approachable, exceptionally kind, and intensely passionate team. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our IAM team—responsible for building and maintaining the core infrastructure that delivers billions of personalized emails per month to customers’ end users, along with the associated reporting data. ### What you’ll do - Lead the IAM team and help build/maintain a highly parallelized platform to personalize and send emails at huge scale - Develop and maintain REST APIs for managing and tracking user subscriptions - Support web pages that enable end-users to self-manage preferences - Build and maintain dashboards to configure customer email domains - Partner closely with product, design, and engineers to deliver new features based on customer feedback and scale the channel as message volume grows - Recruit, coach, and develop engineers - Tackle major engineering challenges by guiding key architectural decisions (and writing code in high-leverage cases) - Own the team’s vision, goals, and processes ### Who you are - 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of success; 2+ years leading high-performing teams - Thrive with autonomy and responsibility, with the ability to dive into technical details to inform decisions - Communicate effectively and make hard decisions and tradeoffs - Experience building foundational systems at scale and spearheading projects that advance organizational goals - **Bonus:** Professional experience with any of: Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, JavaScript, or React *Note: The provided description includes additional compensation details that were cut off in the source text.*
