**Software Engineer II, Client Platform** **San Mateo - Hybrid** **The Opportunity** Join the Client Platform team and play a key role in building the next generation of PlayStation experiences. You'll collaborate with talented engineers and designers to craft intuitive, performant, and beautiful cross-platform applications. This team builds the core application framework, shared libraries, and foundational components that other product and feature teams rely on to deliver PlayStation experiences to millions of users worldwide. **Responsibilities** • Design, develop, test, and document React-based cross-platform applications • Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate feature requirements into scalable solutions • Partner with cross-functional teams to define architecture and ensure best practices • Write comprehensive unit and component tests to maintain product quality • Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback • Continuously improve development workflows and engineering standards • Explore innovative ideas through Hackathons and Café Days **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience • 4+ years of development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript • Strong proficiency in React and related tools • Experience creating and maintaining cross-platform applications • Hands-on experience with modern build and testing tools (Webpack, Babel, Jest, etc.) • Familiarity with GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and containerization (Docker) • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks • Understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities • Interest or experience applying AI/ML concepts to enhance user experiences • Experience with AI-powered development tools and frameworks • Experience with Apple ecosystem mobile applications **Compensation & Benefits** Estimated base pay: $163,000 – $245,000 USD Eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, PTO, wellness programs, employee discounts, and potential bonus package.
